Educational History:

I am a 1991 honor graduate of Nashville High School.  I attended the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) where I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.  Upon completion of college graduation, I was commissioned as a United States Army Chemical Officer and served fours years with tours at South Korea and Missouri.  In 2012, I earned my Master of Arts in Teaching from Henderson State University.

Certifications-4-8 Middle School; ESL

Professional Development:

  This summer I completed the English as a Second Language (ESL) Academy which gives me 12 additional graduate hours.  I have also completed all 60 hours of required of professional development for this upcoming school year.

Current Position:

I began teaching at Nashville Elementary School in Aug 2013.  I have been with this school district for one year where  I currently teach 4th grade ESL.

Previous Position:

Prior to working at this school, I began my teaching career in August 2012 at Mineral Springs High School in Mineral Springs, AR, where I taught Language Arts for 1 year.  I had the privelege of being the 8th grade girls mentor and student council advisor.

Family Information:

I am a widow with two precious sons, Robert and Noel who attend Nashville Junior High and Nashville Elementary respectively.  We also have a darling cat named Zoe.

Personal Information:

My hobbies are going to church, singing and spending time with family.
